Global Alum
Alliance
Our global team of volunteers was brought together to serve the needs of the growing number of Mount Holyoke alums living all over the world.
We are dedicated to supporting alums and to fostering connections through in-person and online events.
We are organized by region and each of our members is deeply connected with the region they represent.

Europe
Mount Holyoke European Alum Council -(MHEAC)
Active since 1987, the Mount Holyoke European Alum Council network reaches out to over 1,300 alums living on the continent and it encompasses 20 local Alum groups representing more than 25 countries. We are passionately dedicated to fostering connections among alums living in Europe and beyond, and we also support MHC students abroad.
Our community is dedicated and truly multicultural and multigenerational, brought together by our shared love for Mount Holyoke and what it meant to us.
Asia Pacific
Our Asian alum community has strong and proud historic roots. The first international student at the College, Toshi Miyagawa, was Chinese/Japanese. She graduated in 1893 and she was soon followed by more students from India and China.
Today our Asian alum network is large, diverse and continuously growing, with China being our largest community, with more than 600 alums. We have representatives in over 10 countries throughout the region, all committed to keeping the Mount Holyoke spirit alive!

Africa and Middle East & North Africa (MENA)
Our alum community in Africa and in the Middle East is growing fast. Currenly the largest number of African alums lives in Ghana and Kenya, while alums in the Middle East are mostly concentrated in the United Arab Emirates. Local formal and informal groups are active in different countries and share information about the College and local initiatives.
Do you live in Africa or the Middle East and are you interested in starting or revamping a local alum group in your area? Do get in touch with us at MHCGlobalAA@gmail.com We look forward to hearing from you!
